Specialization: urban planning, rainwater management in urban space

She is a scientist and lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture of the Poznań University of Technology, a member of the University Council and the coordinator of the architecture and urban planning study course at the PP Doctoral School. For several years, she has been studying the issues of integrated water management in the city and the adaptation of cities to climate change. She is an expert in the field of multifunctional shaping of urban riverside areas and public spaces with the use of blue-green infrastructure. She integrates the issues of spatial planning, water management, urban climatology and environmental protection in cooperation with scientists from various fields.

In 2011-2014, she was a member of the Water Hazard Research Committee at the Praesidium of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Since 2019, she has been involved in the Committee on Climatology, Water Resources and Air Protection of the Polish Academy of Sciences Poznań Branch. She is also a member of the Interdisciplinary Advisory Team for Climate Crisis to the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences and one of the experts on water of the Open Eyes Economy (OEE) headed by Prof. Jerzy Hausner, and a member of the UN Global Compact Network Poland Climate Council. She also works locally, e.g., in the Poznań City Hall team for the use of land by the Warta River.
She was the manager of several research projects, a member of the scientific councils of numerous conferences, incl. ICAADE’2019 (International Conference on Amphibious Architecture), STORMWATER POLAND, or the International ECONOMY OF A WATER CITY Congress as part of the Open Eyes Economy Summit. She is the author of over 100 scientific publications.
