mgr inż. Maciej Lipka

Specialization: nuclear energy.

He completed studies in classical and nuclear power, earning the Master of Science degree from the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology. In his professional career, he has been associated with the National Centre for Nuclear Research since 2014. He is currently working in the MARIA reactor as the Head of the Reactor Analysis and Measurement Department.

His scientific work is focused on the nuclear reactor safety analyses and the optimization of the use of nuclear technology. He is involved in next-generation reactor development and fusion development programmes. He is also interested in the issues of decarbonisation of the energy sector, as well as the interaction of renewable and nuclear energy sources and nuclear heating.
In 2020, he was awarded with the Honorary Badge of Merit for Contribution to the Power Sector by the Minister of Climate and Environment . He is an OECD/NEA (Expert Group on Reactor Fuel Performance) and Foratom (AdHoc Group Accident Tolerant Fuel) expert. He also cooperates with the nuclear.pl Foundation.
