dr inż. Paweł Gajda

Specialization: Energy, Nuclear Power

Assistant Professor at the Department of Sustainable Energy Development at the Faculty of Energy and Fuels of the Stanisław Staszic University of Science and Technology in Krakow. His scientific interests include reactor physics, new generation reactor technologies and the role of nuclear energy in low-emission energy systems. He has worked in many international research projects in the field of new reactor technologies, especially accelerator-driven systems (ADS) and high temperature reactors (HTR). He participated in internships and trainings organised by the following institutions: Nuclear Technology and Education Centre JAEA, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology or Saclay Nuclear Research Centre CEA.


He also studies the polarization of knowledge in the field of climate and energy, especially nuclear energy. Member of the Institute for Sustainable Energy Foundation Board, under which he runs projects related to education and popularization of knowledge, including a programme of lessons on energy intended for school students. He also serves as the Secretary General of the Polish Nuclear Society and a board member of the European Nuclear Society.
