prof. dr hab. inż. Paweł Licznar

Specialization: renewable energy, solar energy technology Water management, water circulation in the city, modeling rainfall and water drainage systems

A graduate of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Wrocław University of Technology. He earned his PhD at the Faculty of Melioration and Environmental Engineering of the Agricultural University in Wrocław in 2002 on the basis of the doctoral dissertation entitled: “Modelling of Water Erosion Processes in a Small Agricultural Catchment”. He obtained the post-doctoral degree (habilitation) in technical sciences in the field of environmental engineering in 2010 at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering of the Wrocław University of Technology on the basis of the dissertation entitled: “Generators of Synthetic Rainfall Series for Modelling Rainwater and Combined Sewage Systems”. A lecturer at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering of the Wrocław University of Technology since 2011.

From the beginning of his professional career, he has been associated with water-related issues, in particular water circulation in the city. He has conducted numerous studies on forecasting water divisions in water supply systems, monitoring and modelling rainfall in urban areas, and modelling rainwater and meltwater drainage systems. A precursor of the application of the theory of multifractals and random cascades in modelling time series and rainfall zones in Poland.

Co-founder of the www.retencja.pl portal. Scientific manager of the project for the development and implementation of the Polish Atlas of Rain Intensity (PANDa). The originator of building a digital platform for designers: WaterFolder.com.
